Wafer Production Costs
The production cost of silicon wafers is mainly composed of the following parts:

Silicon material cost: Silicon material is the main raw material for wafer production, accounting for about 50% of the total cost. The purity of silicon material directly affects the quality of silicon wafers, and high-purity silicon material is expensive.

Cutting cost: the loss generated when cutting silicon rods into wafers and the consumption of cutting tools. This cost can be shared by increasing the amount of wafers cut. Producing a certain number of monocrystalline wafers requires a large amount of electricity.

Manufacturing costs: including equipment depreciation, labor costs, utility costs, etc.. For semiconductor wafers, manufacturing costs account for a relatively high proportion, reflecting its capital-intensive nature.
